Hands and heart
We are hiring licensed tradesmen for the heavy lifting, as well as to advise and support our volunteers. We’ve received many offers to help from the Rapunzel’s community and can always use more. This is a real barn raising, and already people are forming new friendships and strengthening old ones as they’ve lent a hand.
We’re looking for help with all the trades, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing, along with landscapers and gardeners to reimagine the outdoor green spaces, graphic designers and PR folks, and anyone willing to get their hands dirty to get the place clean. Materials
Rapunzel’s lives in a hundred-year-old barn, and we want to keep that spirit alive. If you have any doors with character, barn boards or beams, gutters with feeling, or other materials that fit Rapunzel’s vibe and you no longer need, please email us a description or a picture. There's a lot of worn-out wood or missing pieces to replace, but we value materials that tell a story and feel real.
Down the road we'll be looking for old garden benches for a garden path in the back, woodland sculptures, artist murals, porch hangout chairs, and whatever makes the place feel like a home rather than an institution. We hope you'll keep us in mind!
